I am officially the newest member of my condo association's board of directors. As soon as I got elected, the other two board members turned around and voted me president of the board.
The general board position is for 2 years, but the president is only for 1 year. I'm a little worried about all this, but there were others that I didn't want on the board, so I ran to keep them off. It worked, but I may regret this decision!
